And I Saw You Change

Yu Yi
And with time it all fades away
From playing in clay
To the days all we do is earn and pay
The numerous ethical perceptions have redesigned us throughout the way
From that innocent desire to please everyone
To the happy realizations about who cared was no one
I saw you change…..

From the endless sorrows to the smiles you lent and borrowed
The promises you faked, your heart ached
The tear streams, the unending painful silent screams
The soul shattered and the dreams scattered
I was there with you but you overlooked
And then you decided to move on
Sounds like the sad part’s gone
You may forgive on the name of growth
But I’ll never let you forget as the motion is still back and forth
You may deny the truth
But I bet I know every inch of you from head to foot

I’ve seen you hide everything you didn’t want the world to see…
I’ve always been there and may always be
Till you completely embrace me!
I’m no obnoxious talking elf…
I’m your shadow self!
Have the courage to undertake your real self

Be fearless…
Only then you may know what is real peace
And all your complications will eventually cease.
Believe me, you are stronger than you have ever known
We are humans, all at times broken and torn
Accept it cause it’s always darkest before the dawn.
